The Whales are Coming
Hervey Bay has the reputation of being the whale watching capital of Australia and a lot of tourists come to Hervey Bay during the whale watching season. That season normally runs from July through to early November when the whales begin to head back to Antarctica from their breeding grounds in the Coral Sea.
This year the whale watching season could come early because the whales are heading north much earlier than they usually do. Right now as I type this they’re passing up the east coast of Fraser Island.
If you haven’t been up close to a humpback whale then I have to tell you that you are missing out on one of life’s great experiences and it’s time you came up to Hervey Bay to meet the whales.

There are plenty of whale watching tours to choose from and the Quick Cat II seen here heading out on a tour is just one of them. You can book your whale watching tour with us and if you follow the link you’ll find more information. We’ll even tell which tours are the best for your particular circumstances.
So come up to Hervey Bay and say g’day to the biggest mammal on the planet.
