Have Fun on the Water in Hervey Bay

Friday, September 5th, 2008

Well we’ve had a couple of days of not so nice weather here in Hervey Bay but the weekend is ahead of us and the forecast is a little more promising so it’s time to get out and have some fun on the water.

Last time I showed you some video of the fun you could have with our jet ski hire and this time I want to show you a short video of the fun you can have on the Banana from Aquavue Cafe Watersports. All safety gear is provided and the tow vessel is manned by experienced staff from Aquavue so you’ll be quite safe and you’ll have a lot of fun too.

The Seakart Interview

Sunday, June 10th, 2007

You know, sometimes things never go quite as planned. After we had the new Seakarts assembled we spent a day testing and fine tuning them. We even had some decent breeze to sail them in and everything was good.

Then the next day Channel 7 came down to do a piece on the new addition to our beach hire equipment and even when the crew arrived there was still a decent breeze blowing. The crew filmed some footage with the Seakarts up on the beach and even did an interview with the guys who had come out from the Windkart factory in France.

Seakart and Aquavue on television

Everything was going well, the reporter kicked off her shoes to enjoy the sand, the sun was shining and the interview went well but then came the time to take the reporter out for a sail in the Seakart.

The clouds came over, the breeze disappeared and … we still managed to take the reporter out into the bay for a sail because it doesn’t take much of a breeze to get these Seakarts moving.

The Seakarts Have Arrived

Sunday, June 3rd, 2007

At last the Seakarts are here and I’ve got to correct the post that I made a couple of days ago. These sailing craft are actually Seakarts by Windkart and they are an incredible piece of equipment.

Seakart by WindkartIn lots of ways the Seakart is a cross between a wind surfer and a catamaran and there’s a little bit of sports car in there as well. If that sounds like a strange combination then let me explain.

A Seakart can carry two people but it can be easily sailed by just one. The main control is something similar to a car’s steering wheel and it’s positioned in front of the people in the ‘cockpit’.

The cockpit is actually like a hammock and whoever is sailing in the Seakart sits/reclines in the hammock and has everything he needs to control the Seakart within easy reach.

The Seakart can be sailed by just about anyone and even if your a complete novice at sailing you can be out on the water having a great time in just a few minutes. It’s far easier to sail a Seakart than it is to sail any other type of catamaran.

We were fortunate to have the guys who build the Seakarts come out from France to help us set up the four we’ve bought to add to Aquavue’s beach hire equipment. All the crew here at Aquavue have been out in them and we love them, they’re a lot of fun and so easy to sail.

You can read more about them and see a few extra photos on the Seakart hire page on Aquavue’s main site.

A Busy Week with Beach Hire Equipment

Monday, May 28th, 2007

Wow it’s hard to believe that it’s been 12 days since I last posted but it’s been a very hectic time here at Aquavue. It’s certainly not been hectic for the cafe crew, they just take things in their stride but over the other side of the building the beach equipment hire guys have been preparing for some new equipment.

Not only have we got some new jetskis for hire coming but we’ve also got something really radical set to arrive towards the end of this week. You can get a sneak preview of it here. You’ll soon be able to hire a Windkart from the beach hire section of Aquavue Cafe Watersports

I’ll post some photos just as soon as the Windkarts and new jet skis arrive.

Out in the Hervey Bay

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

All this week we’ve had an interesting vessel moored out in Hervey Bay. I’m not sure whether it could be called a house boat or not because it certainly comes a little better equipped than your average house boat.

It’s interested people other than just me too. Several of those who have used our jet ski hire and beach hire service to hire jetskis and kayaks have headed in that direction to have a closer look.

Riding the Beach Hire Banana

Sunday, April 1st, 2007

Yesterday I mentioned on of the most popular items in our range of beach hire equipment.

After writing that I decided to master the art of posting video to Youtube and now I can show you how much fun people have when they hire the banana from us here at Aquavue, Hervey Bay.

Beach Equipment Hire

Friday, March 30th, 2007

We hire out a lot of different items that come under the heading of beach equipment and you can see the whole range on our jetski hire page.

Apart from the jetski hire this has to be one of the most popular pieces of equipment.

Hervey Bay beach equipment hire

We tow it with one of our jetskis and it’s a lot of fun.

The boss was in Sydney earlier this week arranging some new hire equipment too. I can’t say much about it yet but stay tuned because once they arrive they’re likely to become as popular as the jetskis. I’ll tell you all about them.
