We have recently welcomed three new staff to Aquavue that have taken up their duties exceptionally well in the Cafe’ and kitchen. Jessie and Molly in the Cafe’ as Baristas and Michael as Barista and qualified Chef in the Cafe’ and kitchen. Welcome to paradise guys.
Dropping into Aquavue for a Coffee
Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008You may not think that dropping into the best beachfront cafe in Hervey Bay could be all that exciting. After all, most people walk in from the street or come up from the beach and there’s nothing all that exciting about that now is there?
Well last week one young lady decided that when she dropped into Aquavue for a coffee she really did want to drop in … from 14,000 feet.
With a whoop of excitement she came in over the tables … catching a few customers by surprise … and landed on the beach right in front of the cafe.
If you want a little excitement in your day then give us a call … we can book your sky diving visit to Aquavue so you can add that dash of adrenalin to one of our great coffees.
Dolphins in Hervey Bay
Sunday, July 20th, 2008Here in Hervey Bay we’re at the start of what promises to be one of the whale watching seasons ever and the whales are already out there. I spotted a couple last week when I was up at the north end of the bay.
But whales aren’t the only marine creatures that you’ll see out in Hervey Bay. On the same trip I caught this dolphin having fun right beside the boat.
You don’t always have to go out into the bay to see these wonderful creatures either. On several mornings last week large dolphins were spotted swimming just 50 metres off the beach right in front of the cafe. So come down for an early cuppa or breakfast at Aquavue and you never know what might pop up out there in the water.
It’s Raining in Hervey Bay
Tuesday, July 8th, 2008Soemtimes a little rain is good although it’s not so good when it rains during the school holidays here in Hervey Bay. However better weather is forecast for tomorrow and we’ll certainly be ready for it and lots of people will want to be sitting out on the deck enjoying a little bit of sunshine.
This was the view driving down Boat Harbour Drive early this morning.
By the way, we’ve got a new blend of coffee here at Aquavue so why not come down tomorrow and try a cup. Some of our hardcore coffee drinking regulars have given it a big thumbs up.
An Unusual Visitor
Saturday, June 7th, 2008Hervey Bay is well-known for it’s abundant wildlife and, because we’re right on the beachfront here in Hervey Bay, guests at our cafe here at Aquavue can often enjoy their coffee or meals and watch dolphins, dugongs, manta rays and even the occasional turtle out in the bay.
There’s plenty of birds around to entertain our guests to and it’s not uncommon to see several Osprey soaring over the bay or diving for fish. Some of the birds can come quite close to you too but usually the Osprey tend to keep their distance … but not this one.
This Osprey decided that he’d like to spend some time enjoying the view from our cafe too and when I snapped this picture he was sitting on the railing just soaking up the scenery 
So why not come down and enjoy the best coffee from the best Hervey Bay cafe … and the best view too … we can’t promise that the Osprey will ever come this close again but you never know.
An Interesting Month Here at Aquavue Hervey Bay
Saturday, May 31st, 2008It’s hard to believe that June is about to start … where have the last six months gone?
But the calendar tells me that I’m not mistaken and looking back over the last few months I can see that it’s gone in a blur of steady work. In some ways the terrible weather here in Hervey Bay over the last few days have been a bit of a blessing in disguise because we’ve all been able to take a bit of a break.
That’s been good because I can see the weeks ahead being quite busy for both the cafe and the beach crew. Even though we are plunging right into winter the temptation of having a coffee or even lunch out in the sun on the deck here at Aquavue is just just too hard to resist.
So if you’re here in Hervey Bay and just need to escape from the hustle and bustle of the town then come on down to the cafe here at Aquavue and enjoy some time sitting in the sun, enjoying a great coffee or meal and soaking up the beauty that’s out there in the bay.

Jet Ski Tours to Fraser Island
Saturday, March 15th, 2008The lead up to Easter this year has been great. The weather hasn’t been too bad and there’s a lot of interest in our jet ski tours to Fraser Island. One tour even headed out at 7.30 this morning and, if you can handle getting up early, then that’s a great time to be seeing parts of Fraser Island that no one else can show you.
We have a variety of Fraser Island jet ski tours we can take you on depending on your time and budget so if you’re coming up to Hervey Bay for Easter why not give us a call to make a booking?
The Fraser Island jet ski tours are very popular so it’s wise to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Even if you don’t want to take an early-morning jet ski tour the beach here at Hervey Bay is still a great place to be early in the morning. This was the view from our cafe at about 7.15am today.
Father’s Day – What a Day!
Tuesday, September 4th, 2007What can I say about Father’s Day except WOW!
Here at Aquavue we did 275 meals, we had groups of up to 20, we had extra tables and chairs out to cope with the demand and the cafe crew were just run off their feet!
It was bigger than anything we had ever expected and we really appreciate the fact that so many people thought of us as the best place to take Dad for a great time on Father’s Day.
Even the weather was amazing
