Wednesday, March 31st, 2010Cooper Anchors featured
Sunday, March 28th, 2010Over the last couple of years, we have built a relationship with the guys from Cooper Anchors, who were recently featured and won on the New Inventors on ABC.
Cooper Anchors have developed a range of efficient boat and jetski/kayak anchors that we have been proudly using on our Jetski Tours and in our day to day requirements on Torquay beach.
We historically had problems securing jet-skis adequately in the water on Torquay beach when northerly winds existed. This situation has been addressed by the use of the Steel cooper anchor. On Fraser Island Safari’s we use the Nylon anchor is it is lighter and just as efficient as a steel version.
One of the main reasons we enjoy using the Nylon anchor, is the lack of damage that the nylon anchor does to the luggage compartment on jetskis.

The Beach in Hervey Bay …
Thursday, January 8th, 2009… is definitely the place to be this summer.
It’s been crazy here at Aquavue since Christmas and there’s just no sign of it letting up. The cafe has been full, the jet ski tours to Fraser Island have been running and our jet ski hire has been very popular too.
But then that’s what we expect it to be like because the beach is definitely the place to be in Hervey Bay and you’ll see lots of people down here. Even early in the morning the beach is popular with everyone from workmen to people doing workouts and there were even people in the water swimming.
I grabbed this shot just up the beach from Aquavue at around 7am yesterday morning.

New Signs at Aquavue in Hervey Bay
Wednesday, December 17th, 2008Our sign out on the street here at Aquavue in Hervey Bay was really getting beyond it’s use-by date so we decided that it was time to have a sign that really showed some of the fun you can have here at Aquavue.
So here it is – you won’t miss the entrance anymore

There Are Still Whales in Hervey Bay
Monday, October 27th, 2008While two of the regular whale watching vessels have moved on to other things there are still plenty of big whales out in Hervey Bay and some of them have come a lot closer in than ever before.
On Saturday I was taking a jet ski tour over to Fraser Island and spotted a large whale out in the main channel off Shelley Beach and the furthest whales usually come into the bay is about Point Vernon.
The whale watching vessels that are still operating this season all suggest that they could be hard at work right though into early November so if you’re thinking of coming to Hervey Bay to see the whales then there’s still time this season and we can book you on the best cruises.
One of the most popular cruises that we can book you on is That’s Awesome and a ride in this vessel really is awesome … with 1200 HP to push it along this boat really moves.

Dropping into Aquavue for a Coffee
Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008You may not think that dropping into the best beachfront cafe in Hervey Bay could be all that exciting. After all, most people walk in from the street or come up from the beach and there’s nothing all that exciting about that now is there?
Well last week one young lady decided that when she dropped into Aquavue for a coffee she really did want to drop in … from 14,000 feet.

With a whoop of excitement she came in over the tables … catching a few customers by surprise … and landed on the beach right in front of the cafe.

If you want a little excitement in your day then give us a call … we can book your sky diving visit to Aquavue so you can add that dash of adrenalin to one of our great coffees.
